in this papcr, the development of constitutive models for geologicalmaterials over the last twenty years is reviewed. An attempt is made here torevicw in a very concise manner some of the common models for geological mate-rials, such as, isotropic hardening models,nested surface models,bounding surfacemodels, etc.
