Abstract

Abstract

A new method and technique is presented in this paper that utilizingthe unique mechanical properties and physical function of Shape MemoryAlloys-NiTi alloy which are embedded in the component to detect crack andactively control the crack growth. This is what engineers and technicians havelong craved for. The experimental and calculation results show that the newmethod and technique is rational and the effect is significant.
