The development of the piv experimental study of the super/hypersoinc flowfield

  • The special requirement for the measurement of the supersonic flowfield is analysized, and the major difficult and the corresponding solution about using the art PIV technique in the measurement of the super/hypersonic flowfield is concluded. The analysis is mainly focused on the major requirement on the trace particle, the characteristics of the particle and the different method to put it in the flowfield. Finally the recent development of the PIV measurement of the super/hypersonic flowfield is introduced and summarized, mainly focused on the PIV measurement of the hypersonic shock wave/boundary layer interactions in the hypersonic flow and the PIV measurement of the internal flowfield of the key components of the scramjet propulsion system. The result provided the useful information for the relative researchers.
