Abstract:
Newtonian and non-Newtonian flows are the two important branches of fluid mechanics. In the current paper, the characteristics and classification of non-Newtonian rheology are introduced based on the basic rheological model. In addition, the mechanical mechanism of the transition from Newtonian to non-Newtonian flow behavior of the amorphous alloy is introduced. Finally, the application of shear thinning fluid in engineering practice is discussed. The teaching content and thinking logic are summarized based on the research results on the high-temperature flow of disordered solids and the teaching practice of non-Newtonian rheological mechanics. The teaching method developed may provide a helpful reference for teaching non-Newtonian rheology courses.
