The evolutions and inspirations of some research methods in mechanics

  • 摘要: 在不同的发展时期,力学总能够发现与发明最适当的研究方法,解决面临的关键问题,进而推动力学自身的发展。本文从几何-解析、定性-定量、简单模型-精确理论、微分-变分四个角度分析了力学研究方法的演变过程和作用。通过研究力学研究方法的演变,可以更好地理解力学的思想精髓,把握力学学科发展规律,对于目前在人工智能背景下的力学研究和教学具有重要启示。

     

    Abstract: At different stages of development, appropriate methodologies can always be discovered or proposed in mechanics to address the critical issues faced at the time, which helps facilitate the development of mechanics itself. This paper analyzes the role and the evolution process of research methods in mechanics from four perspectives, respectively, geometric and analytical method, qualitative and quantitative analysis, simplified and precise model, differentiation and variational method. The development law of mechanics enlightens the essence of mechanics and provides inspirations for the scientific research and education under the assistance of artificial intelligence.
