Abstract:
Upper limb whiplash movement (ULWM) is one of the most important skills in manykinds of sports. A model of a three-segment kinetic chain consisting of upper arm, forearm and distal segment was established for kinetic calculation.Kane's method was used to get the resultant muscular moment andNewton's method to get thejoint reaction force. It can be concluded that Kane's method candescribe the upper limb model movement. And be used to calculate the muscular moment efficiently. The upper limb movement in baseball pitching was studied by thismodel and some relationships were found between reaction forces and kineticdata.
