THE GEOMETRIC LARGE DEFORMATION OF BEAM, PLATE AND SHELL ------ FROM THE APPROXIMATE NON-LINEAR THEORY TO THE FINITE DEFORMATION THEORY

  • The linear and approximate non-linear as well as finitedeformation theory of beam, plate and shell are compared. The finiterotation theory is introduced. It is pointed out that by using thefinite deformation theory to solve the beam, plate and shell problems,the high efficiency and high precision can be achieved.
