UNSTABILITY AND DAMAGE ANALYSIS ON SHEET METAL FORMING PROCESS

Plastic unstability induced by localized necking in sheetmetal forming process and forming limit analysis are reviewed. Someapplications of plastic unstability criteria on forming limit analysis andrelated computer simulations are discussed. Plastic unstability-failure, asan interaction between plastic work-hardening and damage-softening is presented and the advances of Continuum Damage Mechanics related to thisproject are also reviewed in this paper.
